Lately I have been specifying quartz about as much as granite. For the past few years it has seemed that everyone has wanted granite, but I can feel the wheels shifting slightly as quartz makes it's breakthrough. Quartz is far superior to granite and has been around forever, but it is more costly. It has stain, crack and heat resistant properties that make it the ideal surface. I found just a few images to give you an idea of what quartz can look like installed.
