DIY: Biore Strips

I don't usually post DIY beauty products, but this one peeked my interest.  Also, I tried it last night before posting to make sure it works...and it does!  I just happened to have gelatin packets left over from my marshmallows I made for Christmas and then all you need is 1.5 tbsp of milk to 1 tbsp gelatin (1 small packet), heat it for 10 seconds in a microwave and then apply.  I used a q-tip to apply, let sit for 10 minutes, and then peeled it off.  Pretty cool!

Artist: Dietrich Wegner

I would have loved a mushroom cloud playhouse as a kid.  Heck, I'd like one now.  This sculpture, Playhouse II, was designed by the artist Dietrich Wegner

Architecture: Open Air Parking Deck

This is one of the most beautiful open air parking decks I've seen.  It was designed by Jacques Ferrier Architectures for the urban community of Soissons.  (via muuuz)

Interior: c+c house

The c+c house by Ihoas+Ihoas makes me miss my loft.  I love the shapes within shapes, exposed concrete ceiling, and that fantastic bending staircase.  (via designboom)

Accessory: Polli Earrings

My Polli succulent earrings came in today!  You might remember the post here on the online sale they were doing February 1-7 or the post here on the giveaway they did with us last year.  If their amsterdam earrings ever go on sale I'm snagging them up too...or (cough cough) I'll put them on my "to buy me" list to give to my husband.

Architecture: Tree House

Does this treehouse, designed by Robert Potokar and Janez Breznik,  remind anyone else of an AT-AT?  I love that it is elevated to the tree line, yet not actually in a tree.  (via archdaily)

Lighting: Fragile Future II

The Fragile Future II, designed by Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijin, is one of the most amazingly spectacular chandeliers I've seen.  Each LED light is surrounded by delicate dandelion seedlings.  (via inhabitat)

Etsy Lunch Hour: Colleenjordan

wearable planter no.1

A girlfriend of mine sent me the link to these beauties because they reminded her of my succulent collection in my sunroom.  I laughed when I opened the link because I had bookmarked these necklaces to blog as well.  I guess it was meant to be and that I'm not the only one that thinks I need these kickass necklaces by colleenjordan.

Thanks for the link, Morgan!

Furniture: 8.0 Ductile Concrete Chair

The 8.0 Ductile Concrete Chair by Omer Arbel is made from ductile concrete, usually used as an infrastructural material, which allows for the thin cantilever design.  (via metropolismag)

DIY: Spray Painted Carpet

I really loved this DIY I saw over at Apartment Therapy this week.  Take an old ugly rug, tape a pattern on it, spray it with fabric spray paint, and you have one badass rug.  Click HERE to see the photos of the process and find out more info on this awesome project.
