Finish: Nood

have you ever wanted to design your own carpet? i know i have. what if i told you there was a company out there that had some standard patterns and you picked your color(s) from a benjamin moore deck? well, nood is your company then. the carpet is not made until you order it. everything is a special order for a not special order price. very fun.

Interior: Victorian Chicago

remodelista is one of those sites that makes me happy every time i visit. this beautiful victorian chicago interior was completely gutted and redone on the inside by wheeler kearns while leaving the exterior original due to historic restrictions. i want to live here. the light in the kitchen is amazing and i really love the big pendant over the bed.

Artist/Green Content: A Drop of Water

a drop of water, design by bas van der veer, is a fun idea. i definitely think it's the coolest looking "rain barrel" that i've seen. having made my own rain barrels this summer, i realized just how much water actually comes off my roof and it's incredible. this guy would be perfect for a small little roof and would be great to water a small garden or flowers with. a built-in watering can? genius.
