Finish: Sofa Brick
Sofa Brick is a cool material that can be used on walls or floors that is made of cork grains and non-toxic urethane binder. I really like the irregular pattern on the wall. (via cribcandy)

Lighting: Luna 2
With the super moon this weekend I thought this Luna 2 light was an appropriate post. I'd love to have the pendant version over my bed. They are available HERE through In-es.artdesign.

Best of: Planters
It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend here and I'm sure yardwork will be part of the plans. This has me ready for the garden and to bring more plants into my life. Here's a roundup of some of my favorite planters that I've posted. Which is your favorite?
book planters
recycled sack planters
Etsy Lunch Hour: My Kind of Diamonds
I'm not really a diamond person, eventhough it's my birthstone. I just like the idea of a diamond shape and these etsy finds are right up my alley.
DIY: Dress Up Silverware
Haven't we all inherited our parents old silverware at some point? You know, the one you grew up eating with that is decked out with filligree and scroll work and is not your style at all. Or you were so desperate when you moved out that you found a mix-matched set at the thrift store. How about dressing them up like these Superior Servers over at Ladies and Gentlemen? I would love to try this.

Artist: Andrew Meyer
Andrew Meyer's screw portraits.
...he places pages from a phone book on top of a plywood panel base. Then, he sketches his subject’s face and pre-drills 7,000 to 10,000 holes by hand. Once the screws are in at the correct depth, he paints over each head individually to create the finished product, which looks more like a portrait than a sculpture. (via flavorwire)

Finish: Bolefloor
Bolefloor is the world’s first industrial-scale manufactured hardwood flooring with naturally curved lengths that follow a tree’s natural growth. Bolefloor takes its name from bole, the trunk of a tree.
I would love to have these running the entire length of my house. I love the natural curve and standard installation, although they look like specialized craftsmen spent hours laboring over your floors.
All Bolefloor products are ordinary tongue and groove (unless ordered otherwise), ready to install preferrably by gluing down.
