Finish: Magnetism

Magnetism by Weitzner is a magnetic wallcovering with a linen surface.  It comes in 52" width and is applied just like a wallcovering and is Class A rated for commercial use.  I love the idea and look of a magnetic fabric covered wall.

Interior: Garbage Truck House

My mom likes to send me emails about dogs, love, and jokes about husbands, but in the mix of these funny emails was this little gem.  Take one modified garbage truck, turn it into a luxury RV, and you've got this amazing home.  It looks like DWR and IKEA had a lovechild that likes to travel.

This is more sofa space than I have in my house!

Look at these amazingly organized kitchen drawers!

Lighting: Bang!

Bang! lamp  by bitplay.  Point the gun at the lamp and the light goes out.

True Love Outdoor

My first job out of school was with a furniture dealer that carried mostly German and Danish modern furniture.  One of the lines was Zero4 which is now Globe Zero4.  I remember when the True Love chair came out and was so excited about it.  I even got to meet one of the designers of the chair Stephan Hertzog.  Now this popular chair is available in an outdoor version that I think is fantastic.  I love all of the color choices too!  Which one would you get?  I think i might get that beautiful white one for myself.

DIY: Granny Lampshade

I love these Granny lampshades I found over at SwissMiss.  I could see some knitters out there making fun DIY variations of these.

Green Content: Living Wall Shed

I want to do this so badly to our garage/studio in our side lot.  It's an old concrete block two car garage that we are turning into our music studio. Of course, the concrete block is not the prettiest thing to see, but a living growing green wall is.  The shed pictured is by Scott Lewis Landscape Architecture found via Treehugger.

Oscar outdoor rugs designed by Susan Bradley.  I love the doily shape in fun colors!

Interior: Dia De Los Muertos Shrine

Happy Dia De Los Muertos!  Do you celebrate?  I've never attended the local festivities, but think it's a fantastic idea and am fascinated by the amazing decor.  I found this beautiful shrine over at craftzine.  What would you add to yours?

Artist: Comma Workshop

Comma Workshop was started in 2010 by designer Kerry Larkin. In 2006, Kerry installed an art piece at the SAAW gallery in Philadelphia that explored fabric, typography, and storytelling. Wanting to explore this more, she went back to her roots and embraced quilting. From a family of quilt-makers, seamstresses, and upholsterers, Kerry is continuing the tradition with a fresh perspective.

The context quilt collection explores people, place, and narrative through the tradition of quilt-making. Each quilt in the series has a story quilted directly into it, in both white thread and a contrasting color thread. The reader is invited to gather snippets of the stories that can be both reflective and quirky.

Comma Workshop also carries a line of baby quilts and does custom quilts as well. All you have to do is pick a style, size, and color thread.  Find out more information here.

...for the lack of posts lately.  With some serious work deadlines, the battery on my laptop going out, photo shoot over the weekend followed by the band headlining that night (which started at 2:00 a.m.), and helping friends, my life has been quite chaotic. I think my dogs might not remember me.  To make up for my lack of posting, I put together this fun collage for the old "12 Questions" collection via flickr.  Make yours here.

Bathroom Plant Inspiration

I was really inspired by this bathroom I saw at AT.  I love that blue and actually now have the same planter in front of my window in my bathroom with a cascading plant in it.  It reminds me of my favorite bullet planter but in a hanging version.  Do you have any plants in your bathroom?

Before: Studio

We found out this week that my husband will be getting a studio space.  It's something that he's been missing since we moved out of our gigantic loft that doubled as a studio.  Here's some before shots of the space.  I've already picked paint colors and ideas for layout and design ideas have already been discussed.  I'll post during and after pictures as the studio gets going.

Accessory: Woody Amp

I want this amp.  Fender Pro Junior 60th Anniversary Woody Guitar Combo Amp.

Its smart cosmetic appointments hearken back to 1946-era Fender amps, with a semi-transparent Honey Blonde gloss finish over solid ash, red vintage grille cloth with three chrome grill strips, solid ash handle, commemorative badge and deluxe vintage slip cover.

Oh, did I mention that it sounds amazing too?  I don't normally post music gear on here but this amp would look amazing in my house and sounds equally as beautiful.

Architecture: T Space

T Space by Steven Holl Architects.  What a beautiful gallery.  It is shaped like a "T", has amazing natural light throughout and I'm a sucker every time for a stark interior and slat wood exterior.  (via archdaily)
