Google's Person Finding Tool
Google has launched a Person Finding Tool for those that have loved ones in Japan. I was fortunate enough to find out friends of mine were safe via Facebook this morning. Click HERE to search. Our hearts go out to the friends and families in Japan this morning. (via inhabitat)

Accessory: Salvaged Timber Jewelry Stands
I am a huge fan of Polli's jewelry and they have just introduced these beautiful salvaged timber jewelry stands. Above is my favorite Polli design Amsterdam. The gold Amsterdam earrings are on my wishlist. Below is the beautiful Gum Tree. Don't you want one to hang all of your Polli jewelry on? See Polli's entire catalogue here.
Architecture: Brazilian Leaf House
The Brazilian Leaf House designed by Mareines + Patalano. This is one of the most amazing roofs I've ever seen.
With verandas and open spaces in between rooms and no corridors, the tropical beach house is an ideal place for social gatherings and parties. The open layout also takes advantage of trade winds that blow in from the sea, providing natural ventilation and passive cooling. (via inhabitat)

Lighting: Papela
Papela Lamp by Meirav Barzilay (via design/milk)
Made from Tyvek, this lamp looks like crumpled paper. The user can crumple it as little or as much to their liking.
Furniture: Winifred Colorblock Sofa
The Winifred Colorblock Sofa at Anthropologie. I'd like to get a warm blanket and watch a movie on this bad boy.

DIY: Seed Tape
I was just thinking to myself "Gee, I should start my seedlings for the garden this weekend". I'm pretty bad about letting vegetables and flowers die and reseed themselves in the garden and see what pops up where the next year by surprise. But, if I was more organized I would do this awesome DIY project for seed tape. How cool is this?! Some flour paste, seeds, newspaper strips, and voila, perfectly spaced seed tape. Clever! Artist: Christian Faur
For his series "The Land Surveyors", artist Christian Faur took photographs from the Great Depression, and, using a digital mapping technique, deconstructed each image down to its pixels. From there, he hand-cast thousands of crayons and then reassembled them into wooden frames to create artworks that resemble highly-pixelated images. (via flavorwire)

Architecture: Nobis Hotel Stockholm
If I can one day find my way to Sweden I will stay at the Nobis Hotel Stockholm by Claesson Koivisto Rune. (via designboom)
The lighting in this room with the charcoal furnishings is perfect. Plus, the view outside is gorgeous.
These are the rooms!

Interior: Fog
I love the interior of Yumiko Sekine's home of Fog Linen Work. The simplicity is so refreshing. (via design*sponge)
