Green Content: Sole Power Tiles

SRS Energy has created these sole power solar tiles that work in combination with US tile's clay roofing systems. it's fairly subtle compared to the normal solar panel solution. i think this is pretty rad. having a little spanish casa, this tugs at my heart strings. click here to see more images and find out more info on the sole power tiles.

Artist: Liz Kueneke

I want to do this for my neighborhood!

Liz Kueneke is an artist who works with communities to help them understand their neighborhood through participatory embroidery. She recently became involved in a project in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Several people worked on this embroidered map, adding their own details and information to flesh it out, and this was the final result. (via crafster)

Inspiration: Fellowship of the Sun Church

did anyone else think the fellowship of the sun church in true blood was some fine architecture? i love the crazy roof lines and the interior is amazing. see more pictures of the real church here.

Accessory: Strangers Mirrors

i really enjoy the work from haelo design. their strangers mirrors are really neat...especially after you read below how the design came about.
The Strangers Series consists of 4 pairs acrylic wall mirrors with intricately etched surface patterns. These delicately overlapping diagrams are extracted from eye-tracking software that maps how the human eye moves over visual subjects - in this case, human faces. The patterns are reconfigured from original data collected by cognitive psychologist Steven Franconeri. When looking into the mirror, the viewer’s reflection is intertwined with the graphic trace of another’s gaze.

Architecture: Tea House

i would love to have a little tea house just like this one designed by David Maštálka of A1 Architects . can you imagine walking out into your garden sitting in this beautiful structure while sipping your tea? i can imagine it all too well. perfect. i love the paper covered domed roof! read more about this amazing structure here at dezeen.
