The Butterfly Houses (known locally as "Soe Ker Tie Hias") in Noh Bo, Tak, Thailand are an enclave of 6 prefabricated mini-sized iron wood and bamboo woven houses designed to provide shelter for orphans. (via apartmenttherapy) i love the pops of color and the fun exterior light fixtures. what an amazing project by TYIN tegnestue!
have you ever wanted to design your own carpet? i know i have. what if i told you there was a company out there that had some standard patterns and you picked your color(s) from a benjamin moore deck? well, nood is your company then. the carpet is not made until you order it. everything is a special order for a not special order price. very fun.

i saw this 5 degrees furniture by nils holgar moorman on design milk and knew i had to share. the stool and tables have three legs that are tied together by a red string. simple and amazing.
a drop of water, design by bas van der veer, is a fun idea. i definitely think it's the coolest looking "rain barrel" that i've seen. having made my own rain barrels this summer, i realized just how much water actually comes off my roof and it's incredible. this guy would be perfect for a small little roof and would be great to water a small garden or flowers with. a built-in watering can? genius.(via thedesignblog)
