a friend of mine posted this on facebook and i was hooked. go mad men yourself! that's me in the middle with my coffee. what a great tool to promote the new season starting next month too. i'm ready!
solistone has an amazing mission line of hand-painted ceramic tiles. if these were porcelain i would use them on my front steps, but where i live it is not a good idea to use ceramic outside. they pop off in the winter...which is what the previous owner's of my house used. suck. BUT, i could use these when i decide to redo my kitchen. wouldn't these look cute in my little meditteranean stucco house?! i think so. i like taking into consideration the historical finishes that would have been in my house and modernizing them a little. see the rest of the line here.
i love this new aqua cil line from artemide designed by Ross Lovegrove. the shade design is influenced by water which is also used to create this beautiful design. i think the suspension is my favorite!
this table designed by line depping makes me smile. The table top slide open mechanism allows you to tidy your desk in an instant whilst also providing a useful storage compartment for cables and alike. the flexible inlay also acts as a screen for privacy. (via design year book)
this pallet compost bin at instructables is perfect for those of you that want to compost, don't want to spend $300 on a fancy composter, and want your compost pile to not be an eye sore. i love this project because it not only looks great but it also recycles pallets!
i love the idea of guerilla gardening. read the treehugger article here about poster pocket plants in toronto and here about the flyer boxes. brilliant.
i love this new print by jennifer ramos at made by girl. this is my morning, every morning and i love it so. i really want this print for my home office! (via decor8)
It’s black, it’s white, but it won’t be tough for you to get by with this ingenious light-sensitive OLED clock that automatically shifts colors so that it is readable by day or night. The perfect antidote to boring digital wall clocks, the Black & White Clock can be stuck to any surface and displays the time using energy-efficient Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLED). Depending on whether it is light or dark out, the clock will shift colors so it can be viewed at any time of day. (via inhabitat)
i'm having some work done to the back room of my house. we had a leak and that sucks, but we are getting basically a whole new room for not that much money over what the insurance company gave us. yesterday i picked out the flooring, which i found at a great cheap flooring place in town. it was labeled olive wood, but it is almost an ebony and looks more like this ebony macassar pictured above. i'm so excited. they are installing today. whoopee!!!
i just love this pentagon seating by thomas tritsch and manufactured by quinze & milan. i think it would make the most amazing lobby furniture. i picture it in a super modern library too. so beautiful! (via contemporist)
