two years ago, i inherited all of my husband's grandmother's buttons and sewing materials. she had jars and jars full of random and wonderful buttons. i thought that it would be nice to make all of the women in the family something out of these buttons and racked my brain as to what. i thought bracelets, bookmarks, lampshades, and coasters. well, to my surprise i found this great tutorial on how to make a button coaster. how perfect?! all i need now is the string, which i see all of the time at the thrift store. hooray!
