well as some of my avid readers might know....i bought a house last July. she was built in 1928 and i'm very excited to get a historical marker on her. in order to do this i have to do a little digging at the local library and get a picture, find out who the original owners were, and fill out a little paperwork to send with a $125 check. see the before picture (above) taken in 1938 and the after taken in 2008 (below). i believe her name will be "The Mainard House". in the 30's pictures were taken of all existing structures in town and archived. i think she was originally turquoise with white trim from small flakes on the house and what the owners before us said. i like her yellow and think she looks like a little gnome home.2008
