Finish: Marmoleum Flooring

I am a big fan of linoleum flooring.  Not only is it all natural, made from linseed oil, wood flour and burlap backing, but they are making linoleum so attractive these days....not like the ugly flooring from years ago.  Forbo Marmoleum flooring has the best selection of styles and colors.   Below is a fabulous marmoleum flooring project that I found via apartment therapy.

"(via apartment therapy) Here's the equivalent of home decor fried rice: Diary of a Vermont Eco Builder took all the Marmoleum leftover bits from their renovation projects, including from the bathrooms floors, bathroom counter tops and kitchen counter tops, and arranged the pieces altogether to create this beautiful patchwork kitchen floor...
In keeping with our eco design model, and just for the sheer fun of it, we’ve decided that the kitchen floor will be made up from all the leftover pieces of Marmoleum we’ve saved so far.
The first part was the installation of a high quality sub-floor (similar to the bathrooms), consisting of maple plywood and a lot of staples.
Then we mocked up some layouts on the computer (complete with correct colors and textures), and settled on the one below.
