Accessory: Recycling Bags

Contemporary color-coded recycling bags get down to the business of responsibly, neatly sorting refuse between paper, glass, metal and organic matter. Flexible, waterproof bags with carrying handles are clearly labeled and outfitted with Velcro should you choose to join them together. (via crate and barrel)
Wouldn't these look great in your house? i'd like to replace my recycling bin with these cute little guys. p.s. they are $30 at dwr but only $17.95 at crate and barrel.

Finish: Felt Walls

felt on the walls. i love the idea for sound absorbtion and it's just beautiful. above right is the visitor orientation theatre at the museum of tolerance in l.a. the walls are composed of hand-stacked wool felt and gives a beautiful linear pattern. find out more about the design of the museum here via interior design magazine. above left is a wall at the central library in amsterdam via yatzer. silk and wool felt walls designed and made by Claudy Jongstra. the texture makes me want to run my hand along this wall. so gorgeous!

Accessory: Modularean Eco Prefab Dollhouse

if i could warp back to childhood, i would asked for this instead of the barbie malibu mansion house thingy that i had. for now, i'll take it as an awesome accessory/eye candy for the house. seriously, how sweet is this?!

Grooming tots to have a penchant for green architecture and an eye for good design is an effortless undertaking with the Modularean Eco House. Kids will literally have the tools for sustainable design and eco-friendly living in the palms of their hands while playing with this prefab dollhouse. Designed by David Baker and built by woodworker Julianna Sassaman, the Modularean Eco House may be the smallest prefab home on this planet, but its ‘wow’ factor is big. (via inhabitots)
