My Favorite Part: Emanual & Valerie

Emanual Ellinas, his wife Valerie, and their daughter Izzy just moved into a sweet little house in the historic Roebuck Springs neighborhood last year.  Valerie is a musician and a masseuse and Izzy loves Strawberry Shortcake and robots.  Emanual runs Magnetic Audio recording studio, is the mastermind behind Sitori Sonics pedals, plays music with his wife in Nag Hammadi, and plays in Jackie Lo.  See what they like the most about their new home.

The little buds show up, then they bloom. Before long the pedals drift to the ground like snowfall. It reminds me of my dead loved ones. Sometimes it is the end that is the most beautiful part.

That's why this is my favorite.

Lighting: Half Nelson Lamp

Furniture: Endy

The timber's ends are the most sensitive part of the timber. In order to protect it, they are painted in sawmills. These colored ends are removed and discarded afterwards, so the end user is not aware of them. Endy emphasizes these edges, thus preserving a hint of the origins of the wood, and celebrating these magnificent colors.

Accessory: Birds of a Feather

Polli has released a new line of colorful feather jewelry that I think you will enjoy.  You might have seen me post about this awesome shop before HERE.  I really love the wooden ebony/ivory earrings above!

The woven peacock and light feathers are hand stitched to order by our moms and best friends using cotton thread. And our wooden peacock and light feathers are colourfully printed on sustainable plantation pine, with the pendants strung on adjustable leather.

(Thanks, Kate!)
